Iamroyston aka Shrtboss, whose real name is Royston Williams, was born in Bristol, UK to Jamaican parents and now resides in Amsterdam. He grew up in a Jamaican household in Bristol, which set the foundation for his artistic career in music. His work refers to everyday life, and he states that "sometimes I sing songs for the thugs and sometimes I sing for the ladies and sometimes I drop knowledge for the youths…I make uplifting music."
